Cosy room in a shared flat (19m², max. 2 persons) offering a sofa bed in a nice old building - classy and comfortably equipped. There is a bathroom for community use (the room belongs to a 4-room-apartment, 115m²). There is a WLAN-connection available for free.
The apartment is located in the Berlin district Schöneberg. It is centrally situated close-by the Kudamm, the popular shopping boulvard of Berlin. You will live perfectly-fine in-between City-West and City-East in the interesting Kiez, between the Kurfürstendamm and the Potsdamer Platz. It is close to the Tiergarten, which is the biggest park in Berlin and one of the most beautiful parks in Europe. Moreover, there are various possibilties to go shopping and an animated cultural nightlife invites you to have a night-out just right in your district. A big beautiful marketplace (Winterfeldtmarkt) is nearby, which is one of the most diversified in Berlin. There you will find the typical mixture of antique shops, various cafes, manifold gastronomy, artistic-shops, galleries and retails. Many minor and major shops in the surrounding area invite you to go shopping. Berlin has a very crowded public traffic transport network which enables you to visit lots of sightseeings in a fast and direct way. Because of the central location, most people do not use their car at all. The apartment is situated directly at the metrostation Nollendorfplatz, western City in close-by the Kudamm and the Zoologischen Garten, which is the zoo harbouring the most species in the world. Several metro-lines, (night-) buses and taxi stands are directly in front of your door. |

| Schöneberg: Schöneberg is een pittoresk, chique en stedelijk district van Berlijn, gelegen tussen Kreuzberg en Wilmersdorf. Men treft er een grote diversiteit aan in stijlvolle clubs, cafés en restaurants evenals een talrijk aantal levendige en modieuze uitgaansgelegenheden.
Schönebergs weekend markten, zoals de “Winterfeldmarkt”, zijn geweldige plekken om kwaliteitsfruit en –groenten, bloemen en kazen te kopen. Na een lange dag shoppen kun je jezelf vermaken in een van de aangrenzende cafés.
Het stadsleven is verrijkt door modieuze bars en happenings. Iets rustiger is het gedeelte van het “Victoria-Luise-Platz” of het zuiden van Schöneberg. Deze wijk heet Friedenau is in het trotse bezit van grote villas en edele oude huizen. In het stadhuis van Schöneberg deed John F. Kennedy zijn beroemde uitspraak “Ich bin ein Berliner”, voor de Berliners die ingesloten waren door de muur. In dit stadhuis zetelde tevens de regering tot aan de Duitse eenwording, en tot op de dag van vandaag worden rond het middaguur de vrijheidsklokken geluid. Het kerkhof in de “Stubenrauchstrasse”, waar een aantal van Berlijn haar beroemdste inwoners, de grote Marlene Dietrich, geboren in 1901 in Berlin Schöneberg, begraven ligt.
Voor shoppers is het winkelcentrum “Kaufhaus des Westens” (KaDeWe), - een van de grootste winkelcentra van Europa, gelegen aan de “Tauentzienstrasse aan het oostelijke uiteinde van de “Kurfuerstendamm”, zeker de moeite waard.
