Accommodation Description |
| The building where this apartment is located was constructed around the year 1900 and was recently renovated. During the restoration, all of the apartments were also renovated including the installation of new wood floors, walls, new kitchens and bathrooms. The furniture was also replaced, which is in part antiques. The apartment is on the first floor (the stairwell, interior patio and garden were also renovated). There is dining room for three people in the kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, oven, electric cooker, dishwasher, high-quality utensils, etc. The small bedroom has a double bed, a television situated at the perfect height and a large wardrobe with indirect lighting. The living room is spacious with a television, wooden table and chairs, closets and a corner sofa that may be used as a sofa-bed for two people. The bathroom is tiled in black and white with a bathtub, window, indirect lighting and a washing machine. The apartment is located on a calm and clean side road ending in a dead-end. There are many trees and the apartment is close to the Perelsplatz Park. On the nearby principal street there are excellent connections to the network of public transportation. The S-Bahn Stop (Rapid Urban Train), Metro Insbrucker Platz and bus line M 48 runs between Alexamderplatz and Zehlendorf, passing by Potsdam Plaza, the Island of Museums, the centre, etc. The bus passes by every few minutes day and night. The Schöneberg City Hall can be easily reached on foot. There is a street market here every weekend. At the Insbruckerplatz, just 80 meters from the apartment, there is a large supermarket and numerous restaurants. The shopping area of Schloßstr is 3 stops away by bus. |

| Schöneberg: Schoeneberg a scenic and civically-chic district of Berlin is located between Kreuzberg and Wilmersdorf. There is an extensive variety of stylish pubs, cafes and restaurants just as well as numerous lively and fashionable areas to go out.
Schoenfeld’s weekend markets – such as the “Winterfeldmarkt” are a fabulous place to buy quality fruit, vegetables, flowers and cheeses. After a long day of shopping you can enjoy yourself in one of the surrounding cafes.
City life is enriched by fancy bars and happenings. A little calmer is the area at the “Victoria-Luise-Platz” or the south of Schoeneberg. This quarter is called Friedenau and boasts grand villas and noble ancient houses. In Schoeneberg’s town hall John F. Kennedy exclaimed his famous “Ich bin ein Berliner” to the Berliners locked in by the wall. This town hall was also the seat of government up until the German unification; and to this day at noon the freedom bells chime. The cemetery in the “Stubenrauchstrasse” where one of Berlin’s most famous people the great Marlene Dietrich, born 1901 in Berlin Schoeneberg is buried.
For shoppers, at the “Tauentzienstrasse at the eastern extension of the “Kurfuerstendamm” is one of Europe’s biggest shopping malls the “Kaufhaus des Westens” (KaDeWe).
