Within a maximum of 5 minutes walking you will find all of the necessary services for daily life, such as: a bank, shops, cinema, and a theatre. Behind the apartment there is an old village-like neighbourhood (Rixdorf) with a small weekly market. This area has maintained its charm and its own charisma. Just in front of the building there is a small park, which you can see from the balcony in the apartment. The underground station (U7) is 200 meters away. You can arrive at Alexanderplatz in 15 minutes by underground. By car, you can access the A100 motorway in 5 minutes. All other areas of the city can be easily accessed without complications. | Neukölln: The district Berlin Neukölln joins the district Berlin Kreuzberg in the south. The northern part of Berlin Neukölln is mainly dominated by the typical old building of Berlin and is similar structured as its neighbour district Berlin Kreuzberg. The square Hermannplatz is one of the liveliest squares of Berlin and connected to the well-known shopping street Karl-Marx-Straße. Also the most peculiar opera of Germany, the Neukölln Opera, is located here. Close by is the old village Rixdorf which now belongs to the district Berlin Neukölln. You can still experience the ancient village atmosphere and architecture. Visit also the old and still running blacksmith on the square Richardplatz. The southern part of the district Berlin Neukölln is characterized by various green spaces and canals. It is mainly a residential area, but a beautiful spot is the park of the old Britz mansion.
