Description
Holiday apartment on the 4th floor with a lift. Elberfelderstaße is a street whose access to traffic is restricted, which means that cars can only go past if they’re going slowly, so you will be able to sleep peacefully in one of the biggest and most beautiful cities in the world. Facilities include: a sunny and quiet living room/bedroom, which has a TV with a cable connection and a hi-fi. You will be able to eat at a welcoming table with enough room for 4 people. Your sleeping options are multiple: you have a double bed and a comfortable sofa bed, both located in the living room-bedroom. The apartment also has a balcony. The kitchen, which has been recently furnished, is for 4 people. The bathroom is very big and has a bath and a toilet. Location: this holiday apartment is near the Tiergarten and some 3 km from the central station (Hauptbahnhof). Recommended for anyone who wants to visit Berlin. Both the heart of the eastern part of the city as well as that of the western part are nearby, and the apartment’s location in an area very well served by public transport will allow to get to the centre of Berlin quickly, to the district where the government’s seat is, the Parliament (Reichstag) and Brandenburg Gate, as well as the Island of Museums (Museuminsel) with all its places of particularly interest for tourists. There are special conditions depending on the season of the year we happen to be in: from the 27th December to the 2nd January the minimum rent is 4 nights. Extras: parking place for €5 per night.

Location
If you like culture and nature and want to stay in close proximity to the most famous Berlin attractions then this district is perfect for you. Tiergarten is part of the very centre of Berlin located right next to Mitte. The river Spree runs to the north of the area.

Over the last 2 centuries Tiergarten has suffered a serious multiple personality disorder due in part to the outrageous whims of various rulers during that time. Originally used as the hunting grounds of the privileged politicians up until Friedrich I, the area was transformed into the green heart of Berlin with immaculate gardens and manicured lawns. Then in the later part of the 1800 the landscaper Peter Joseph Lenné, began remodelling the Tiergarten, digging up the lawns and turning them into a proper English garden and zoo. Nowadays it is Europe’s biggest city centre park.

Tiergarten is also home to Bellevue Palace, official residence of the German President. Located on the banks of the river Spree. It’s peaceful gardens and baroque architecture make this building a favorite with the German Aristrocracy. In Tiergarten you can also visit the Reichstag and see the Bundeskanzleramt and there's lot to see in the cultural quarter, such as the Kammermusiksaal and the Musical Instruments Museum.

Metro line U9, the S-Bahn and various buses make Tiergarten easy to travel around
